Building Your Future in R&D - How the Innovation Impact Program Works

The Adhesive Technologies Innovation Impact program is an 18-month rotational experience at our state-of-the-art Inspiration Center in Düsseldorf. You will start your career with the security of a permanent contract and the support of relocation assistance, including a furnished apartment for your first month. 

You will embark on a journey through various innovation areas within our diverse businesses and technologies. We offer a supportive environment with mentorship and a buddy system to ensure you thrive. 

Besides your lab-based scientific work, business travel is possible based on project needs. 

Our commitment to your success extends beyond the program itself: We will help you transition into a post-program scientific innovation role within Henkel, potentially at one of our international sites, aligning with your career goals and our global opportunities.

As a data-driven Product Developer focused on adhesives, sealants, and functional coatings, you will dive into hands-on laboratory work, crafting solutions that meet the diverse needs of our markets and customers. With ALBERT, our digital data platform and our other digital tools, you will support the product development process, enhancing efficiency and reducing time to market.

Your tasks will include:

  • Experimentation and Analysis: Undertake detailed lab experiments on new formulations, leveraging your knowledge for scientific investigation and digital data analysis to drive innovations forward.
  • Utilizing Digital Tools: Utilize our digital platform, ALBERT, for comprehensive data management and analytical tasks. Your role will require fluency in navigating large datasets to extract meaningful insights that support our product development projects.

You will tackle technical challenges with innovative solutions, applying your expertise and the latest in digital analytics, to introduce and optimize new products and technologies.

Your tasks will include:

The application period for our trainee program will begin on June 26th 2024. Mark your calendars and get ready to apply! 

An online assessment center is a virtual setup that we will use to evaluate your skills, abilities, and competencies as a final candidate for our trainee program. We're excited to get to know you better and see what you can bring to the table!

During the full-day assessment, we will engage you in various activities, such as roleplays, individual and group tasks. These activities simulate real-world work scenarios and help us evaluate your teamwork, problem-solving, communication, and other critical skills required for the trainee program.

We understand that online assessment centers may be new to some of our trainee candidates. Still, we assure you that this approach is designed to provide us with a comprehensive and objective evaluation of your skills and abilities. It also allows you to participate from anywhere, making it more convenient for you.

We want you to feel encouraged and ready to participate in the online assessment center. We are excited to see your potential and welcome you to the trainee program. So, bring your best skills and abilities, and let's see what you can do!

We understand that relocation can be challenging, which is why we provide support to help make the transition as smooth as possible. As a trainee joining our program, we will cover the cost of your one-way trip to Düsseldorf and provide a furnished flat for your first month. During this time, you will have the opportunity to get to know your new colleagues and explore the city.

Absolutely! We understand that visa and work permit applications can be complex and time-consuming, so we work with a reputable agency to support trainees joining our program. This means we will be with you every step of the way, providing guidance and assistance to ensure the process is as smooth as possible.

As a trainee in this program, you can expect to receive a permanent contract, along with competitive compensation and benefits that align with market standards. We aim to ensure that you have everything you need to succeed right from the start.
