Meet Chieh-Yu
This program offers not only a nice opportunity for new grads to explore different roles in the company also but a good chance to overview the broad portfolio of Henkel Adhesive. Besides, the two focuses of Henkel Adhesive Technologies Innovation, digitalization and sustainability, are the two area I would like to work on and shape our own future. Additionally, as a foreigner in Germany, I want to work in a global company where I can simply find a group of people with very diverse background.
How was your first experience? What was impressing/exciting/surprising?
People are very welcoming and supportive. I feel well-included in the team during the rotation. The flexibility we have towards our own projects and on-top assignments was very impressive. This made me feel that I could really shape the career path I want here and people are willing to help me to get there.
What do you like most about your job and your team? What is special?
I like the diversity of my team and my daily working environment. So far, the special part for me was the visit to the production sites to see the large-scale production of our products in the plants. This made me feel that the small change we make in the lab could really make a huge impact after the scaling-up!
What would be an advice you would give to a young graduate starting in R&D in Henkel?
Be flexible and open-minded! And always stay curious because you will then learn a lot. Also, be ready to meet and talk to a lot of nice people 😉
